Animal Humane Society (AHS) of Minneapolis. Every year Animal Humane Society cares for more than 23,000 animals in need and helps thousands more through programs for people and pets.
As one of the nation's leading animal welfare organizations, AHS is transforming the way shelters care for animals and engage their communities. From innovative medical and behavior programs to investments in outreach and advocacy, we’re advancing animal welfare and creating a more humane world for animals everywhere.
Friendly animal experts offer services and support for every stage of an animal’s life. Plus, we work with individuals and organizations across Minnesota and beyond, advocating for the health and safety of animals, no matter where they are. Any donation in any amount is greatly appreciated.
The Forgotten Dog Foundation is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization comprised largely of dedicated volunteers who do rescue simply for the love of animals, especially those who are forgotten. Combined, we have rescued well over a thousand dogs, and with your help, we can save thousands more.
Being in the trenches of animal rescue is gut wrenching, exhausting, heart breaking and draining, both financially and emotionally. But it is also exhilarating, extraordinary and rewarding beyond words. There is no greater joy for those of us in rescue than uniting a shelter, street, abused, or abandoned dog with a wonderful new forever owner. The dogs we save are big and small, purebreds and mutts. They are shelter dogs that are set to be euthanized, dogs left in foreclosures and strays running the streets. We take in dogs that people can no longer keep because of the economy and abused dogs that are removed from their neglectful owners.
Our rescued “forgotten dogs” are given immediate medical attention, if needed. They are spayed or neutered, if they are not already, and are given all shots necessary the keep them healthy. We microchip all our rescue dogs and insist that collars and identification tags are kept on them at all times. Most of our rescue dogs go directly into a loving and safe foster home. We believe that caging dogs long-term does not help in their recovery although it is sometimes necessary short-term in an emergency if a foster isn’t available and a dog’s life is at stake. Our rescued dogs learn how to relax and play and nap on dog beds, (or couches and beds, if allowed) and chew on dog bones. They are fed nutritionally sound food to strengthen their usually depleted systems and they will learn to trust that not all human beings are cruel and unkind. They are socialized with other dogs. Our foster environments prepare them for their forever families. All donations are welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
Cause for SB Paws is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization comprised of San Bernardino area residents who care deeply about our animal care and control issues. What We Do:
When we have room, we take in dogs from the streets, shelters, and owner surrenders in the San Bernardino area and foster them in our own homes. We can help IF AND ONLY IF we have the support of the community - the most important being donors, adopters, and FOSTERS. If we have fosters, we can help more dogs. Without a new and growing foster pool, we cannot take in new dogs.
As you can imagine, many of our rescued dogs have been through a lot: abuse, neglect, never living inside a home or knowing the love of humans, etc. All of our dogs live in our foster homes, and we work with our dogs as much as possible so they are used to home life before being adopted. However, some dogs may always be insecure, they may take time to warm up to their adopters, they may need to relearn potty training, and they all take time and patience. All donations are welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
The Little Angels Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-animal, no-kill animal rescue organization. We rescue animals of many different species from shelters at risk of being euthanized and focus on educating the public about “designer breeds”, pocket pets, cat care, and reptile care. We also help many owners who are forced to surrender their animals due to financial or personal reasons. We are dedicated to reducing the number of animals that are euthanized in our shelters each and every day. Our primary goal is to rescue and rehabilitate these animals in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also provide low cost or free vet care to the community and offer assistance in the face of disaster. Donations are always appreciated. Thank you.
Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that is concentrated on saving the lives of Kern County's incarcerated canines. Kern County's shelters are bursting at the seams and register some of the highest euthanasia rates in the country. We are committed to these shelter dogs simply because they have NO ONE and are closest to death. These dogs are at the shelter because they have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have no way out but RESCUE. These dogs are without family, love or representation and we aim to save as many as we can. We are their rescuers, their voice and their future. We rescue, rehabilitate, train and re-home death row dogs from Kern County’s high-kill animal shelters. In addition , we utilize the rescued dogs to transform people’s lives. Through the power of the human-canine bond, we empower dogs and people to live healthy, happy and productive lives. Your kind donation in any amount is greatly appreciated.
Lionel's Legacy is a 501c3 non-profit San Diego based senior dog rescue and humane education program for elementary school children. It is our goal to save and advocate for ONE senior furbaby at a time and support anyone who is willing to do the same. The second component to Lionel’s Legacy is the message we share with our children. As an elementary school teacher, I’ve learned how little we are doing as a society to educate our children about humane issues involving animals. As a result, we have a mounting problem that so many rescues are working to resolve each day. We have accomplished so much but still have a long way to go. Through our humane education program at Central Elementary, we will be working with Sweetwater High Animal CARE Club to provide an educational program to our students who have a passion for animals. The goal is for students to become compassionate, advocating, respectful, and educated animal lovers who can share their new found knowledge with their peers. Your donation helps us to achieve this vision. Thank you.
Grand-Paws mission is to rescue primarily large breed senior dogs who’ve been abandoned. We rescue from local high-kill shelters and let them live out their lives in our sanctuary or in one of our wonderful foster homes: happy, safe, and loved. When appropriate, we attempt to find permanent, loving homes for them. However, we choose the large breed seniors because they are less likely to be adopted from the shelters.
People don’t realize the joy you receive from rescuing a senior dog. Seeing an old dog renew some of their spunk when they’re given proper nutrition, exercise, and love is extraordinary. They may be a little slow, hard of hearing, have deteriorating eyesight, and a graying muzzle, but there’s still charm and dignity in these old dogs yet. Despite their condition they never feel sorry for themselves. Young or old, they all have so much to offer and so much love to give.
You can help make a difference in the life of a senior dog by making a donation to Grand-Paws Senior Sanctuary. Every gift helps. Thank you.
The Pepper Foundation is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization that rescues primarily special needs and senior animals from high-kill shelters in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Our mission is to get these animals rehabilitated and adopted into loving forever homes. We believe that every animal has the right to a second chance!
Most of our animals that are available for adoption are little seniors, and some have special needs. Most do wonderfully and thrive and live many happy years with proper care. Adopting one of these little special angels is a commitment and takes lots of love and patience from their guardians. All donations are welcome and appreciated.

Paw Prints in the Sand Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) all- animal foster-based rescue organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing abused, abandoned, neglected and stray companion animals.
We rescue the pets that no one else will - severe medical, abuse and behavioral cases, pregnant pets and their litters, and senior pets. A primary focus of our rescue efforts is on saving pets in kill shelters and giving them a second chance at having a great life! However, we've rescued dogs from dog fighting rings; newborn puppies found in the street; kittens left in a box in a park; pets that have been abandoned in homes or yards when their owners moved; and even pets that have been thrown from moving vehicles.
So many of the pets we rescue have a long road to recovery, both physically and emotionally. But, we work with some of the best veterinarians and dog trainers in the business. We are there with them every step of the way to ensure that those wounds heal, and they are placed in responsible and loving forever homes when the time is right.
Headquartered in Orange County, California, we are an all-volunteer, all-foster organization committed to animals in need, providing them with the utmost care, and helping them learn to love and trust again. We take considerable care in finding the perfect home for our rescue pets and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a pet into their homes and lives.
We also serve as a resource to pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership. Your donation helps support our efforts. Thank you.
Frosted Faces Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that delivers the promise of family and quality veterinary care for senior animals whose love and lives are in jeopardy. We are completely funded by donations, grants and fundraisers. We do not have adoption fees, as our primary goal is to place and support our Frosted Faces with Families who welcome otherwise "unadoptable" dogs and are dedicated to fulfilling our promise. Your donation in any amount helps us in our mission.
German Shepherd Safe Haven Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Public Charity dedicated to finding loving forever homes for abandoned German Shepherds. Our main goal is to rescue, train, rehabilitate, and re-home German Shepherds from shelter environments and from owner surrenders. Our secondary goal is to provide education to the public on the temperament, personality, and life span of the breed, as well as the importance for owners to spay and neuter their dogs. We believe that matching each dog’s temperament and personality to a family’s needs is fundamental to creating life-long relationships where the dog is not just a dog, but a valued member of the family. We are an all-volunteer organization so we rely entirely on public interest and support to continue our mission of rescuing German Shepherd dogs and finding them loving, permanent homes.
All contributions support our dogs and are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support
A.R.T N Paws Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501 C3 non-profit no-kill animal rescue organization located in Murrieta CA . We rescue stray dogs from the streets, and from situations of abuse and neglect. Additionally, we rescue many of our dogs from “death row” at kill shelters in CA. All rescued animals are examined by a veterinarian and vaccinations are given. The dogs are then spayed or neutered, treated for any health problems and rehabilitated. Our main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for all the dogs that we rescue. Since our founding in 2010, we've saved over 350 lives and placed them in loving, permanent homes. We work to rescue animals at risk of euthanasia.
We take a multifaceted approach to finding permanent, stable and loving homes for our rescued friends: they are fostered in a home environment, evaluated for temperament, and give basic training to make them better companions for the people who will ultimately take them home.
Our goal is to match you with the animal that has the best temperament for you.
Thank you for considering a donation to help our efforts. Any amount helps.

Maltese Rescue California is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers. The volunteers work to ensure unwanted and homeless Maltese are placed in permanent loving homes. These Maltese come to our rescue from many sources; animal shelters, animal control agencies, owner surrenders, other rescue groups, veterinarians, death of the primary caretaker, people whose health has changed, and those facing loss of home.
We provide adoption services. Approved foster homes are utilized to care for abused, sickly and homeless Maltese until such time as an adoptive family is approved for the dogs forever home.
A vital component of Maltese Rescue California is the education of the public regarding breed characteristics, responsible dog ownership, training and humane care of a Maltese. Your donation is very much appreciated.
Mr. Bones - One Lucky Pup is our signature rescue, rehabilitation and adoption program. While we emphasize Pit Bull rescue, we accept all breeds into our program, particularly dogs facing extraordinary challenges, whether it be extensive emergency veterinary care/surgery, unfair breed discrimination and those languishing in municipal shelters. Our experiences in the rescue trenches have given us keen insight into understanding the challenges of animal welfare.
By keeping our program small, typically no more than twelve dogs at one time, we put an intensive amount of attention into each dog, evaluating the needs of each dog to determine their best home. This individualized plan of care enhances the adoption process and makes less room for negative variables to occur post-adoption. Donations towards this program are especially appreciated. For our special needs cases, a care plan involving surgery, rehabilitation and/or extensive training can cost thousands.
The Dog Rescuers Our mission is to end the suffering of innocent dogs and cats by reducing the number of unwanted births which will reduce our high kill euthanasia rate. If we can spay and neuter 100 cats and dogs every month it will translate into 1000 less unwanted puppies and kittens being born. In turn, those puppies and kittens will not have 1000 puppies and kittens next year and so on. We must change the universal acceptance that killing is the only solution to pet overpopulation.
The answer is to spay and neuter. We need to spread the word. We are not just rescuing animals we are also helping to change laws. With the help of our efforts Pasadena CA now has a mandatory Spay and Neuter law. This is how we help end the suffering of innocent animals. We encourage the adoption of a shelter pet. Please consider a donation if you agree with our mission. Thank you.

We prefer to rescue animals that are in danger of euthanasia at our local shelters and abandoned animals as we see this as the most critical. Your thoughtful donation is very much appreciated.

Wags and Walks is a community of dog lovers working to promote shelter dogs as the best dogs in the world through advocacy of our unique family-friendly foster and adoption programs.
Wags and Walks is different than many other rescues because we do not select dogs based on their size or age or even their breed. We hand-pick our dogs based on their temperament and their likelihood to thrive when placed in the proper home.
Similarly, we do not select our adopters based on how many hours they work or whether they live on a multi-acre property over a condo. We know that, like amazing dogs, loving families come in all shapes and sizes. Our goal is to find an adopter whose home, family and lifestyle are a perfect fit for a particular dog. All donations go directly to help get at risk dogs out of shelters and provide them medical care, food, and boarding. All gift donations are appreciated. Thank you.
